New Student Research Assistant Positions Teaching in Makerspace this Summer! (UPDATE: HIRING CLOSED)

Hello students! Two faculty from the Careers and Experiential Learning Department (Katelin Pietrusinski and Harshita Dhiman) are looking for 2 Student Research Assistants (RA) to provide support to 2 Co-op 1000 sections for the summer intercession semester on a special project involving the use of the Makerspace on campus. Students should have some experience working with the Makerspace and in research tasks.  

The duties of the RAs are as follows: 

  • assistance with creating pre and post questionnaires and tour scheduling for the Makerspace 
  • providing tour of Makerspace in first class (May 2 and 3)  
  • weekly office hours (~5 hrs/week) in the Makerspace to be available to assist student groups with their projects (weeks 2-6 of class, May 8-June 9)  
  • attend final class presentations (June 13 and 14) 
  • assistance with observation report and literature review  

Each student is expected to work approximately 45 hours over the course of the project and will be paid $20/hour.
